Dear Writers and Readers,
In 2020, I faced an unexpected setback when I was banned from one of my favorite Reddit communities. My “offense” was sharing my personal journey with autophagy through the profound impact of long-term fasting, nutritional biochemistry, calisthenics, thermogenesis, and other proven and holistic healthy lifestyle factors on my health and well-being.
What were deeply meaningful stories to me, my readers on Medium/Substack, my collaborators, and the science community about overcoming prediabetes, abdominal obesity, loose skin, brain fog, and other health challenges — were deemed harmful by some members, likely aligned with commercial pharmacology interests.
It was heartbreaking. Something so close to my heart was misunderstood and dismissed. Yet, understanding human nature, I chose to forgive them and even sent my blessings. But I did not remain passive. Instead, I channeled my energy into creating my own Reddit community, r/ILLUMINATION_Writers.
I wrote a story about it, inviting writers of ILLUMINATION in 2021.

This initiative became a game-changer for me. The community gained traction and helped my stories published on Medium gain widespread visibility. A few of my blog posts even went viral, thanks to Reddit’s unique ability to amplify content.
Encouraged by this success, I realized the potential to do more. I have launched another community, r/Substack_Mastery, designed explicitly for Substack writers. I envision integrating this community with Medium, enabling cross-posting — a simple yet powerful tool for freelance writers to expand their reach and connect with diverse audiences.
