Your experience will work as an eye-opener for the belief that Artificial Intelligence can replace Human Beings. Yes it can automate humongous tasks thereby reducing dependency on humans but it can not replace human emotions like empathy or situational judgemental calls.
In your case if the task was monitored by an individual probably after analyzing the market response you would have been approached to inquire about the reason for delay and extra time would have been provided to do the needful. That is the power and importance of empathy which does not exist in Artificial Intelligence.
Your book is a pearl in the sea of knowledge and I am sure this issue will not hamper its growth. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming editions of your book.

Very sad that this happened to you. I also had multiple mishaps with Amazon because of their bots. A word of caution: As everything is reviewed by bots there now initially, if you repost all those chapters from your book, the review bots may block the book and question your copyright. It has happened to many people I know and happened to me once when I updated my book's manuscript.

I’m so sorry for this frustration. You spent so many hours creating a great resource for many of us. Robots are the worst.
