This is an interesting strategy. I used to write on Quora some time ago, but haven't been on there in a long time. It might be time to take a peek at it again. I'm glad you're finding new opportunities for writing and earning an income!

Thank you for this message. I am interested, but first, I need to reinstall the app I used to use to message you, but I lost it due to a computer crash. Can you provide it? I am flat-lining these days on Medium, so I can use a boost.

Hi Mark, thank you for your message. I am sorry to read about the communication issue. I will leave a private message on one of your stories to share details. You don't need app as Slack works on PC. I will explain. Let's stay in touch.

Your guidance on writing platforms and clever/productive use of social media is inspiring and helpful. I like Quora as it helps me connect with writers and readers easily. Thank you for encouraging me to create a Quora space. I wrote a story about it and also wrote a tutorial on monetizing content on Quora. I link the stories here for interested readers. Thank you for the opportunity and guidance.

Thank you for this educational and inspiring story on Quora, Dr Yildiz. I am also trying it and it looks interesting to me. As you say it is a low hanging fruit which does not take much time.

Thanks for sharing this interesting info, I had not known you can monetize on Quora. I just know that it is frowned upon by reputable platforms such as Newsbreak if you want to get verified as a contributor on NB. They don't accept Medium, Quora, and the like. You can get verified as a writer on NB with the abovementioned, which still provide good benefits. Please keep us posted on your monetization results on Quora. On the other hand, I am already on a few platforms and Twitter may be next, once I know for sure it is worth it to upgrade to be able to monetize there.

I am somewhat between two fires, as I want to try to only focus on Substack and second Medium for now. I don't want to spread myself too thin, I can hardly keep up as it is and my fiancee is helping me with engagement... I just don't have the time, we run several businesses and the blog writing cannot take priority at the moment.

Thank you for your feedback, Hein. Quora is a low hanging fruit as anyone with a Stripe account can add some content to Spaces or answer some questions, become part of the Quora+ program and start monetizing. Our editor Mike wrote a tutorial about it today. I believe it can help beginners so I link it here.

Thank you for your helpful response. I have had some issues with Stripe every time I create a new account under my main profile, they want proof of address, and ID, and the system disapproves it immediately. I have been waiting for about two weeks for them to manually approve my document. They did approve it manually in April for Medium, which I have been using with the MPP for about two years, but now for Substack's three publications I have created three separate accounts under my Stripe profile and now I have to go through it all again.

I am so sorry to hear about your situation with Stripe. Lately I heard a lot about this issue from other writers in my circles. It looks like their system had issues. Fortunately they did not accidentally suspend your account as some writers said they lost them out of nowhere. i hope they solve these issues soon as both Medium, Substack, and Quora payments are depend on this service.

I worry about trying to do too many things at once too!

Hi Christina, it is a valid concerns. However these two new platforms I introduce does not require substantial effort. For example you write an article for Medium spending 1 hour and you spend max 10 minutes to copy/paste to Substack, Quora or X Premium and reach to a massive audience globally hundreds of times bigger than Medium with no censorship for authentic content. By experimenting you can make one of these platforms as your primary and others secondary. For example last 5 years my content shined on Medium therefore I allocated 90% of my time to Medium. But in the last two weeks I can no longer justify my time as the algorithm automatically stopped distributing my content and the large audience I built no longer can see my content. Therefore I now choose Substack as my main, Medium, NewsBreak, Quora, and X Premium as my second where I will repurpose my content with mininal effort. This might differ from person to person but having more options is a blessing in my experience. I wish you the best in your writing journey.

Thank you for your thoughts, Dr. Mehmet. I am currently spending the majority of my time on Medium, and then copying to Substack. But, I can see how it makes sense to also copy to Quora. (I got rid of X Premium as I didn't find it useful, but I hope you do!) I'm going to look into Quora again.

You are most welcome, Christina. I am pleased you are also leveraging Substack and consider the low hanging fruit Quora. Interestingly I have mixed feelings and thoughts about X like many creators. It has been a bumpy journey for me as my account was suspended twice unfairly and without a warning due to algorithmic decisions which saw sharing story links from Medium as spam. Despite all I keep an open mind hoping it might change therefore I give it as an alternative but I have no intention to make it primary as it is not as powerful as Medium or Substack for me.

I just finished reading the self-stigmatization piece that I believe you helped me with. Great job!! It may inspire me to get back to writing as I have hit a dry period. I am pulling back for now.

Very Interesting points raised here, I was unaware that you could earn money from answering questions on Quora. I will defiantly be looking into Quora spaces.
